The primary intent of this project is to develop a baseline inventory and condition survey of the identified sites. The scope of work for project was to establish a Roof Asset Management Program that will support the objective assessment, budgeting, reporting, procurement, construction, and maintenance of the School’s roof assets.
Initially, MACTEC FLG was selected to inventory and conduct an on-site condition assessment of building roof assemblies at a group of 27 buildings at 22 sites in the School’s facility portfolio, including a roof area of 1.6 million square feet. However after further investigation MACTEC FLG found that the roof area included approximately 2.4 million square feet. The project scope was amended to survey 1.7 million square feet at 15 schools sites and 86 buildings.
After the inventory and condition assessments are finished, we will populate the collected data in the Roofing Module of the Vertex® Facility Asset Management & Investment Analysis system. Vertex will be used to calculate condition indices for each asset inventoried and in preparing short-term and long term budget reports.
